Patterson's 9-10 All-Stars, representing the city's Biddy Basketball program, were the national runners-up in the Pelican Park Nationals Tournament in Mandeville March 18-22.
Emily Price of Morgan City along with her bowling teammates at Alabama State University won the Southwestern Athletic Conference Championship during tournament play March 25-27 in Arlington, Texas. The Lady Hornets (92-47) earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Women’s Bowling National Tournament by virtue of the SWAC win.
