Sacred Heart over Tigers, 32-7
VILLE PLATTE _ Sacred Heart of Ville Platte posted a 32-7 non-district win over the Hanson Memorial Tigers here Thursday.
Hanson Memorial jumped to an early lead when Stephen Rosamond tossed a 69 yard touchdown pass to Jacob Srigley before Sacred Heart roared from behind to post the big win.
JT Harper and Wesley Launey led the Trojans (7-2) to the victory. Harper ran for 132 yards and four touchdowns while Launey picked up 129 yards and one touchdown.
Hanson Memorial took an early 7-0 lead after Rosamond tossed a 69-yard touchdown pass to Srigley and Lawson St. Blanc booted the point-after-touchdown.
SHVP scored its first touchdown on Launey’s 54-yard run.
The Trojans built up a 14-7 advantage at the end of the first quarter when Harper scored on a two-yard run before making good on the two-point conversion.
Harper added touchdown runs of 8, 5 and 18 yards to help carry the Trojans to the 32-7 win.
Hanson (2-7, 1-4) will welcome the Centerville Bulldogs to McCloskey Field for homecoming and the District 7-A finale on Friday at 7 p.m.
