Patterson All-Star teams competing at Southwest Regionals

Patterson All-Star softball teams for ages 12U, 10U and 8U are representing the area at the Babe Ruth Southwest Regional in Houma.
Exhibition warmup games were played Tuesday with bracket p l a y s t a r t i n g Wednesday.
In the 8U bracket, Patterson faced Dewitt Wednesday at 9 a.m. If Patterson wins, it will meet Pierre Part in second-round action Wednesday at 1:30 p.m., while if it loses, it will meet the loser of another game to be p l a y e d l a t e r Wednesday. Other teams in the bracket include Terrebonne, Alabama-based Covington, Harahan and St. Charles.
Patterson enters the 8U Southwest Regional after finishing 1-2 at the state tournament at Kemper Williams Park near Patterson earlier this month.
In 10U action, Patterson will meet Iberville in an 11 a.m. contest Wednesday. The winner will face Pierre Part Thursday at 9 a.m.
Other 10U teams include West Feliciana, Magnolia, Arkansas; Hamburg, Arkansas; Terrebonne; St. Charles and Jefferson Parish Recreation Department East;
In 12U action, Patterson enters Southwest Regional play as the Louisiana State Runner-up. Patterson will play the winner of Alabamabased Woodland and Iberville Wednesday at 3 p.m. Other 12U teams in the bracket include Te r r e b o n n e a n d Jefferson Parish Recreation Department West and Jefferson Parish Recreation Department East, which won the Louisiana state title.
