Loreauville posts 20-0 win on FHS

LOREAUVILLE _ The Loreauville Tigers scored three touchdowns over the first three quarters, posting a 20-0 District 7-2A victory over the Franklin Hornets here Friday.
Brennan Williams scored a rushing touchdown of 15 yards before later hauling in a 25-yard aerial strike from quarterback Zy Alexander while Leslie Joseph struck on an 8-yard TD, giving the Loreauville Tigers a 20-0 league win over Franklin.
Loreauville (2-3, 2-0 in District 7-2A) seized a 7-0 lead with Williams’ 15-yard TD and Landon Lagrange’s point-after-touchdown in the opening quarter. LHS extended its lead to 13-0 in the second quarter when Joseph scored on an 8-yard run. In the third quarter, Loreauville moved to 20-0 on Williams’ 25-yard touchdown pass from Alexander and Lagrange’s P-A-T.
Franklin (0-5, 0-5) was led in rushing by Zariq Perry, who rushed 14 times for 58 yards. Malik King ran 12 times for 57 yards while Jarius Boyd picked up 20 yards on four attempts.
Alexander led the Tigers with 7 carries for 87 yards while Joseph had 13 totes for 66 yards and one TD and Williams had 8 carries for 66 yards and one TD.
Perry connected on 6 of 12 passes for 70 yards while Alexander was 12 of 20 for 121 and one TD.
Malik King led the Hornets in receiving with 4 catches for 33 yards while Harris caught 2 passes for 30 yards and Daye had one catch for 7 yards.
Williams finished with 6 catches for 55 yards and one touchdown while Mitchell had a pair of grabs for 24 yards and Girouard finished with two catches for 24 yards.
Franklin will play host to Delcambre for Homecoming on Friday in District 7-2A action at 7 p.m.
