High School Football: WSM, Centerville on the road Thursday; Franklin travels Friday; HMS is off

WSM, Centerville play on the road Thursday; Franklin travels Friday while Hanson Memorial is off
West St. Mary and Centerville will take to the road for non-district games on Thursday prior to Franklin traveling on Friday with Hanson Memorial having an open date in Week 2 of the high school grid season.
West St. Mary has moved the date and location of its game with the Central Catholic to Thursday at Morgan City due to a problem with its scoreboard, according to head coach Clifton Armelin.
Hurricane Barry damaged the scoreboard at Wolfpack Stadium and the problem will not be repaired this week, forcing the game to be switched to Tiger Stadium in Morgan City.
WEST ST. MARY AT CC-MC
The West St. Mary Wolfpack will travel to play the Central Catholic of Morgan City Eagles Thursday in another battle of St. Mary Parish teams at Tiger Stadium at 7 p.m.
West St. Mary (0-1) is coming off a narrow 14-12 loss to the Patterson Lumberjacks (1-0) in the season opener last week.
The Central Catholic Eagles (0-1) also came up on the short end of a loss at the hands of the Loreauville Tigers (1-0) last week.
West St. Mary will travel to face off against the CCMC Thursday at Tiger Stadium in Morgan City.
CENTERVILLE AT HAYNES ACADEMY
The Centerville Bulldogs (1-0) will make the journey to Metairie to do battle with Haynes Academy at Joe Yenni Stadium Thursday in non-district action.
Centerville will go on the road to play Haynes Academy on Thursday after pinning a 50-28 loss on the Ascension Christian Lions last Friday at Bulldog Stadium.
CHS will travel to square off against Haynes Academy on Thursday in Metairie at 6:30 p.m.
FRANKLIN AT CENTRAL LAFOURCHE
The Franklin Hornets will travel to battle the Central LaFourche Trojans in Raceland on Friday in non-district action.
Franklin (0-1) returns to action Friday after dropping a 32-12 loss to the Kaplan Pirates at J. C. Dry Stadium.
Franklin will travel to play Central LaFourche on Friday in Raceland.
HANSON MEMORIAL (OPEN DATE)
The Hanson Memorial Tigers will not play this week but will return to action next week on the road.
