Bulldogs beat Loreauville

LOREAUVILLE _ Jaylon Williams and Jackson Hebert scored in double figures, leading the Centerville Bulldogs to a 62-48 victory over the Loreauville Tigers here Tuesday at the LHS Gym.
Centerville improved to 5-2 on the season while Loreauville drops to 0-8.
Centerville will play St. Joseph’s of Plaucheville at their Tournament Thursday at 5 pm.
Centerville burned the nets for 19 points in the opening stanza, going on a 19-5 run. In the second period, Centerville went on a 16-12 flurry for a 35-17 cushion at the half. The Bulldogs benefited from a 20-18 third quarter run for a commanding 55-35 advantage. Loreauville earned a 13-7 cushion down the stretch but it was too late as Centerville strolled away with the 62-48 victory.
Centerville’s leading scorers included: Jaylon Williams, 19; Jackson Hebert, 11; Ryan Young, 9; Marquis Strawder, 8; Tykeith Joseph, 6; Landon Lanclos, 3; Jaylon Cooks, 2; Andrew Johnson, 2 and Kobe Randolph, 2.
Centerville connected on 8 of 14 free throw attempts while committing 16 fouls.
Centerville’s 3-point baskets shooters were: Williams, 3; Strawder, 2; Hebert, 1; Lanclos 1 and Young, 1.
Loreauville’s top scorers were: Matthew Henton, 20; Harvey Broussard, 9; Brashone Green, 8; Karon Jeanlouis, 6; Matarik Wilkins, 3 and Chris Anthony, 2.
Loreauville connected on 8 of 16 free throws while committing 15 fouls.
