LSU's Will Wade speaker at July 31 St. Mary Outreach fundraiser

Motivation for Life, A Night with LSU Basketball Coach Will Wade, will be held July 31 at the Petroleum Club of Morgan City.
The St. Mary Outreach fundraising event features a social hour and silent auction from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., with dinner at 7 p.m.
Wade will be entering his second season as the Tigers’ coach this fall.
At age 35, he is among the youngest Division 1 coaches. In his first season in Baton Rouge, he compiled an 18-15 record, including an 8-10 mark in Southeastern Confer-ence play.
He led the Tigers back to the postseason for the first time since 2015. LSU finished 1-1 in the NIT.
Wade is one of only two LSU hoops coaches to reach the postseason in their first season leading the squad.
Wade, a native of Nashville, Tennessee, is a combined 109-60, with previous head coaching stops at VCU and UT-Chattanooga.
As a head coach, he has taken teams to the postseason four times.
