Cajun Coast Tourism
October 16, 2024
The Cajun Coast Tourism held a business meeting on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at 4 pm at the Cajun Coast Of- fice. The members were Kim Walden, Sandra Marshall, Dwight Smith, Alfredia Edwards, and Keith Leonard. Members ab- sent were Ed “Tiger” Verdin, Patsy Powell, Herman Hartman, and Chad Boutte. Also, present were Carrie Stansbury, and Christal Carter.
Ms. Marshall made a motion to accept the September minutes as written. Mr. Leonard seconded the motion. With all members favoring, the motion passed.
Mr. Smith made a motion to accept the September financials. Ms. Ed- wards seconded the motion. With all members favoring, the motion passed.
Ms. Stansbury gave an overview of the bureau’s activities.
Ms. Stansbury sent an email to Carbo and Associates, waiting for a response.
The Tourist Commission’s next board meeting is scheduled for December 4, 2024, at 4:00 pm at the Cajun Coast Of- fice.
There being no further business to discuss, Ms. Marshall made a motion to adjourn. Mr. Smith seconded the motion. With all members favoring, the meeting was adjourned.

The board of Commissioners of St. Mary Recreation District No. 1 met in regular session on Tuesday September 17, 2024.
The meeting was called to order by Mrs. Janice Aucoin at 6:00pm.
Roll was called and those present were Commissioners, Mr. Tyrone Richardson, Mrs. Janice Aucoin, Mr. Anthony Scully, Mr Steve Patureau absent Ms Carla Gagliano, Manager Mike Beadle
A motion was made by Mr. Steve Patureau to accept the minutes as written. The motion received a second from Mr. Tyrone Richardson. All were in favor.
The monthly bills were review-ed. A motion was made by Mr. Steve patureau to pay the bills. The motion received a second from Mr. Tyrone Richardson. All were in favor.
Mr. Mike Beadle presented the treasures report. A motion was made by Mr. Steve Pa- tureau to accept the report as read. The motion receiv-ed a second from Mr Anthony Scully. All were in favor.
Agenda Items Discussed
Review Monthly Bills. Storm Damages assessed. Agreed to pay yearly Insurance bill in full. Discussed option for playground equipment under bridge area. After all issued were addressed and no further matters were present, Mr. Anthony Scully made a motion to adjourn the meeting. All were in favor.

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP)
The City of Morgan City is re- questing proposals from qualified and experienced individuals/firms for Disaster Recovery Project Management Consultant Services with established experience in assessment, repair, and restoration and to pursue eligible grants for Hurricane Francine Re- covery and will receive proposals on November 18, 2024, at 3:00 pm in the Conference Room, City Hall, 512 First Street, Morgan City, Louisiana.
Anyone interested in submitting such a proposal must do so, in writing, no later than the above- mentioned time. Any proposal re- ceived after this time will be returned unopen-ed.
