Police Reports 5-1-18

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Scott Anslum reported the following arrests:
Cory Chapman, 53, of 403 Verdun Lane, Franklin, was arrested Monday at 4:56 p.m. on the charge of theft.
Angela Campbell, 54, of 507 Orange St. #3, Morgan City, was arrested Monday at 6:56 p.m. on the charge of theft.
Deputies investigated a complaint of shoplifting at a store on La. 182 in Amelia. Deputies learned from store personnel that two subjects left the business without paying for several items. Deputies and Morgan City Police identified the suspects as Campbell and Chapman. Deputies located Chapman at a residence in Siracusa and Campbell at a location in Morgan City. Following the investigation, Campbell and Chapman were transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.
Breanna Hillebran, 19, of 2415 Pecan St., Morgan City, was arrested Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. on a warrant for charges of battery of a dating partner, disturbing the peace, unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling and criminal damage to property.
The warrant was issued following an investigation into a complaint of a domestic battery at a residence in Bayou Vista. The deputy collected evidence that Hillebran entered into the residence without permission, began yelling, and then struck the female victim. Hillebran was located at a business in Morgan City on the warrant and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Hillebran was released on $1,000 bail.
Nicholas Francis, 39, of 113 Fortier Lane, Jeanerette, was arrested Tuesday at 3:22 a.m. on a Jeanerette City Court warrant for failure to appear on the charge of careless operation. A deputy came into contact with Francis at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center. While speaking with Francis, the deputy located the active warrant for his arrest. Bail is set at $250.
Ashlyn Rock, 18, of 1001 Lia St., Patterson, was arrested Monday at 6:34 p.m. on charges of possession of Schedule II hydrocodone and driving on roadway laned for traffic violation.
Aaron Ross, 22, of 1001 Lia St., Patterson, was arrested Monday at 6:21 a.m. on charges of possession of Schedule I marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of THC wax and transactions involving proceeds from controlled dangerous substance activity.
Codie Adams, 19, of 715 Kellie Drive, Patterson, LA was arrested Monday at 6:21 p.m. on the charge of possession of Schedule I drugs.
Narcotics detectives working in the Centerville and Ricohoc area observed a vehicle driving onto the shoulder of US 90. Detectives conducted a traffic stop. The driver was identified as Rock and the two passengers were identified as Ross and Adams. Detectives smelled the strong odor of marijuana coming from the car and received consent to search the vehicle. Detectives located marijuana, THC wax, and cigar wrappings in the vehicle. They also located over a dozen hydrocodone pills in Rock’s purse. As the investigation progressed, detectives also located $780 in cash on Ross and collected evidence that Ross sold the illegal drugs. Adams was released on a summons. Rock and Ross were transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center and later released on bond.
Franklin Third Ward Marshal Carla B. Weidenboerner reported the following arrest:
John Foster, 36, of 312 Easy St., Franklin, was arrested at his residence Monday at 1:58 p.m. by Franklin deputy marshals for a Franklin Third Ward City Court warrant for failure to appear for arraignment on original charges of driving without a license and proper equipment required on vehicles. Foster was transported to the franklin police department, booked and held on a $350 cash bond.
Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the following arrests:
David Hayes, 32, of La. 182, Franklin, was arrested Monday at 1:36 p.m. on the charge of possession of Schedule II narcotics.
Hayes was booked, processed, and held with no bond set at the time of press release.
Joseph James, 36, of Iberia Street, Franklin, was arrested Monday at 6:50 p.m. on charges of possession of Schedule I narcotics marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia—second offense.
James was booked, processed, and released on a $4,500 bond.
