Police Reports 4-3-18

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Scott Anslum reported the following arrests:
Steven Richard, 37, of 504 Cypress St., Franklin, was arrested Wednesday at 11:58 p.m. on charges of two counts violation of a protective order, reckless operation, disturbing the peace and resisting an officer.
A deputy investigating two separate incidents of court order violations located the suspect, Richard, driving on Main Street in Franklin. When the deputy initiated a vehicle stop, Richard accelerated at a high rate of speed driving recklessly on Hospital Avenue and Cypress Street. The deputy made contact with Richard at his residence. During his arrest, Richard forcefully pulled away from the deputy. Through the investigation, the deputy found that Richard went to the victim’s residence twice over the course of two days in violation of court orders. The second time, Richard yelled obscenities at the victim. Richard was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail is set at $7,750.
Jason Ackman, 34, of 102 Shivers St., Patterson, was arrested Thursday at 10:23 p.m. on the charge of vehicle burglary.
Deputies responded to a report of a vehicle burglary at a business on US 90 in the Patterson area. A deputy learned that a male subject was seen inside the victim’s truck. With the assistance of witnesses, the deputy positively identified the suspect as Ackman and located him walking in the area. The deputy gathered additional evidence linking Ackman to the crime and subsequently transported him to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail is set at $10,000.
Conner Duplantis, 17, of 1422 Fairmont St., Bayou Vista, was arrested Friday at 5 p.m. on charges of possession of Schedule I marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of Legend Drug without a prescription, violation of a controlled dangerous substance law drug free zone, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting an officer.
A deputy responded to a call for service regarding possible illegal drug activity at a residence on Fairmont Avenue in Bayou Vista. While speaking with subjects outside the residence, the deputy observed a male subject exit a shed and flee on foot. The subject was later located a few blocks away. He was identified as Duplantis and was detained pending an investigation. Deputies found items of drug paraphernalia inside the shed, pills in Duplantis’ bedroom, and a bag of marijuana where Duplantis had fled. A Narcotics Section detective assisting with the case found evidence that Duplantis was selling the marijuana. Duplantis was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.
Ricky Mire Jr., 37, of 104 Jordin Lane Lot A, Bayou Vista, was arrested Saturday at 8:05 p.m. on the charge of domestic abuse battery.
A deputy responded to a call for service regarding domestic abuse at a Bayou Vista residence. The deputy found evidence that Mire pushed a female victim to the floor during an argument. Mire was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Mire was released on a $2,500 bond.
Christopher Lemoine, 52, of 321 La. 182 Lot 7B, Bayou Vista, was arrested Friday at 10:03 p.m. on the charge of domestic abuse battery.
A deputy responded to a report of a disturbance in progress at a residence in Bayou Vista. The deputy found evidence that Lemoine forcefully grabbed a female victim by the arm and pulled her. Lemoine was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Lemoine was released on a $2,500 bond.
Clayton Tardy Jr., 56, of 112 Jolivette St., Baldwin, was arrested Saturday at 7:24 a.m. on a City Court of Franklin warrant for failure to appear on the charge of driver must be licensed.
A deputy located Tardy on the warrant at a residence on Labau Street in Baldwin, and transported him to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Tardy was transported to the Franklin Police Department jail for housing.
Agatha McCleary, 25, of 411 Tiffany St., Patterson, was arrested Saturday at 7:37 p.m. on the charge of theft.
A deputy responded to a report of theft at a store in Bayou Vista. The deputy spoke with security personnel and learned that the suspect drank an energy drink and then left the store without paying for the item. The deputy positively identified the suspect as McCleary and located her at her residence. Following the investigation, McCleary was released on a summons.
Dakota Sauce, 117 of Taryn Lane, Ricohoc, was arrested Saturday at 11:12 p.m. on the charge of possession of a Legend Drug hydroxyzine without a prescription.
A deputy patrolling Bayou Vista observed a subject walking on Mars Road and stopped to speak with him. The deputy identified the subject as Sauce. While talking with him, the deputy received consent to search and located five pills in his possession. The deputy transported Sauce to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.
Mark Colbert Jr., 23, of 130 Sager Brown Road, Baldwin, was arrested Sunday at 5:12 a.m. on charges of reckless operation and obstruction of a highway.
Louis Green, 26, of 130 Sager Brown Road, Baldwin, was arrested Sunday at 5:12 a.m. on the charge of operating a vehicle with a suspended driver’s license.
A deputy responded to a call for service regarding a reckless driver on La. 182 in the Baldwin area. The deputy observed a vehicle traveling closely behind another vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. The deputy identified the driver as Green and the passenger as Colbert. During the investigation, the deputy found that Colbert was driving the vehicle when he blocked the roadway preventing another vehicle from passing and causing the vehicle to drive off the roadway. The deputy also found that Green was driving the vehicle with a suspended license. Both subjects were released on summonses.
Appollonia Jack, 24, of 113 Robicheaux Lane, Franklin, was arrested Sunday at 9:18 a.m. on the charge of operating a vehicle with a suspended driver’s license.
A deputy conducted a traffic stop on Willow Street, in Franklin, on a vehicle with no visibly displayed license plate. The deputy identified the driver as Jack and found that she was operating the vehicle with a suspended license. Jack was released on a summons.
Brittany Gregorieff, 23, of 327 Camille Drive, Patterson, was arrested Sunday at 3:18 p.m. on a City Court of Morgan City warrant for the charge of operating a vehicle with a suspended driver’s license.
A deputy patrolling Siracusa observed a vehicle fail to signal multiple turns, and conducted a traffic stop. The deputy identified the driver as Gregorieff, located the active warrant for her arrest, and transported her to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Gregorieff was then transferred to the Morgan City Police Department jail for housing.
Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the following arrests:
Tyjon Alexander, 17, of Franklin, was arrested Friday on the charge of attempted aggravated arson. Alexander was booked, processed, and held with no bond set at time of press release.
The Franklin Police Department investigated an incident Friday morning, with the assistance of the Franklin Fire Department and the Louisiana State Fire Marshal’s Office. An officer responded to a complaint at 7:59 a.m. at a Franklin residence. After the investigation, Alexander was arrested.
Chelsey Jack, 23, of Franklin, was arrested Friday at 6:05 p.m. on a warrant for Third Ward City Court for failure to appear on the charge of disturbing the peace by fighting. Jack was booked, processed, and release on a $382 bond.
Francis Casmire Jr., 52, of Jeanerette, was arrested Saturday at 4:02 a.m. on a warrant for the charge of parole violation.
Casmire has several felony convictions that date back to 1991 for a narcotics arrest, sale of narcotics, theft, burglaries, burglary of inhabited dwelling and possession of stolen things. Further investigations of thefts and burglary are ongoing, with pending charges. Casmire was booked, processed, and held with no bond set at time of press release.
Dennis Bordelon, 58, of Verdunville, was arrested Sunday at 12:13 a.m. on a warrant for 16th Judicial District Court for failure to appear on charges of domestic abuse battery and first offense resisting an officer. Bordelon was booked, processed, and held on a $7,500 bond.
Henry Bais, 29, of Franklin, was arrested Sunday at 4:05 a.m. on a warrant for 16th Judicial District Court for failure to appear on charges of criminal neglect of family, switched license plate, failure to stop at a stop sign, no vehicle registration, fail to honor written promise to appear, improper turn and/or failure to give required signal and operating a vehicle while licensed suspended, as well as a warrant for Third Ward City Court for failure to appear on charges of tail lamps, expired driver’s license, driving under suspension and no insurance. Bais was booked, processed and held with no bond set at time of press release.
Joseph Williams Jr., 57, of Franklin, was arrested Sunday at 7:16 p.m. on the charges of aggravated battery and simple battery. Williams was booked, processed, and held with no bond set at time of press release.
Ricky Webster, 58, of Franklin, was arrested Monday at 5:16 a.m. on the charge of possession of Schedule I narcotics marijuana. Webster was booked, processed, and held with no bond set at time of press release.
On Sunday, at 7:24 p.m., the Franklin Police Department received a call of a shooting at Broussard Harris Park located on O’Neal Chube Street, in Franklin. When officers with the Franklin Police Department and St. Mary Sheriff’s Office arrived on the scene it was discovered that a large disturbance had taken place with several shots fired. FPD is continuing the investigation. Several charges are pending. The shooter has been identified and warrants have been applied for.
Lorraine Broussard, 59, of Franklin, was arrested Monday at 9:03 a.m. on a warrant for the charge of theft over $750 but under $1,400.
Broussard was booked, processed, and released on a$1500.00 bond.
Franklin Third Ward Marshal Carla B. Weideboerner reported the arrest of Johnny Freeman, 66, of Franklin, was arrested Monday at 9:22 a.m. on a warrant for Third Ward City Court on charges for failure to appear for revocation hearing on charge of DWI with an accident, reckless operation with an accident and driving under suspension. Freeman was booked, processed, and held without bond.
Mario Williams Jr., 18, of Franklin, was arrested Tuesday at 5:06 a.m. on a warrant for the charge of theft. Williams was booked, processed, and held with no bond set at time of press release.
