Police Reports 2-12-18

Chitimacha Police Chief Hal Hutchinson reported the following arrest:
Lauren Plessala, 30, of Gondron Road, New Iberia, was arrested Wednesday on charges of battery of a police officer, communicating of false information of planned arson, resisting an officer, threatening a public official and disturbing the peace. She was transported to the parish jail.
Officers responded to a tribal business in reference to a suspicious person. During the investigation, Plessala was arrested.
Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the following arrest:
Wayneisha Shaw, 26, of Hogan Lane, Franklin, was arrested Thursday at 1:51 p.m. on a warrant for Third Ward City Court for failure to appear on charges of careless operation, driving under suspension and no insurance. Shaw was booked, processed, and released on a $495 bond.
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Scott Anslum reported the following arrests:
Thaddeus Gabriel, 22, of 214 Rosebud St., Baldwin, was arrested Thursday at 7:21 p.m. on an Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office warrant for charges of principal to second degree murder and principal to attempted second degree murder. The St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office assisted the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office in locating Gabriel. Gabriel came to the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in reference to the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office investigation and was subsequently arrested on the active warrant. Gabriel was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.
Dontavius Withers, 20, of 1553 Dillard Road, Stone Mountain, Ga. was arrested Thursday at 4:55 p.m. on the charge of possession of Schedule II crack cocaine with intent to distribute.
Marlon Thomas, 22, of 1411 Stoneleigh Hill Road, Lithonia, Georgia, was arrested Thursday at 4:55 p.m. on charges of possession of Schedule I marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and transactions involving drug proceeds.
During a traffic stop investigation on US 90 in the Four Corners area, two occupants of the vehicle were found to be in possession of illegal drugs. The K-9 Unit narcotics detective found two bags of marijuana and $596 in cash on Thomas. Over two dozen small bags of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia were found in a backpack belonging to Thomas. The detective also found a bag of crack cocaine in a backpack being carried by Withers. The drugs were prepared in a manner consistent with the street level sale of the illegal drugs. Louisiana State Police assisted with the traffic stop investigation. Both subjects were transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.
Shawn Cashio, 29, of 274 Donald Drive, Thibodaux, was arrested Friday at 10:18 a.m. on charges of speeding and operating a vehicle with a suspended driver’s license.
A deputy monitoring traffic on US 90 in Berwick observed a vehicle moving at 74 miles per hour in a posted 60 miles per hour zone. The deputy conducted a traffic stop, identified the driver as Cashio, and found that he was driving the vehicle with a suspended license. Cashio was released on a summons.
Galen Ford, 25, of Morgan City, was additionally charged Friday at 1:30 p.m. on a warrant for failure to appear on charges of expired motor vehicle inspection and no motor vehicle insurance.
Ford was already incarcerated at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center when a correctional deputy received the active warrant for his arrest. No bail is set.
William Carr, 28, of 415 Clemons St., Patterson, was arrested Friday at 3:09 p.m. on the charge of theft.
A deputy responded to a report of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista. The deputy found evidence that Carr concealed items in a bag he was carrying, with the intent of stealing the merchandise. Carr was released on a summons.
Jude Boudreaux, 19, of 3876 La. 923, Jonesboro, was arrested Friday at 10:11 p.m. on a warrant for Chitimacha Tribal Police for probation violation. A deputy conducting a traffic stop on a vehicle on La. 182 in Centerville identified Boudreaux as an occupant of vehicle and located the active warrant for his arrest. Boudreaux was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.
Joshua Martin, 24, of 616 Boley Lane, Charenton, was arrested Saturday at 5:40 a.m. on charges of operating a vehicle with a suspended driver’s license and possession of Schedule I marijuana.
Calab Mitchell, 21, of 216 Cedar St., Franklin, was arrested Saturday at 5:40 a.m. on the charge of possession of Schedule I marijuana.
Sedrick Rudolph, 33, of 434 Gum Point Lane, was arrested Saturday at 5:40 a.m. on the charge of possession of Schedule I marijuana.
A deputy investigating a single vehicle crash on La. 182 near Katy Bridge Approach Road identified and spoke with the vehicle driver, Martin, and two occupants, Mitchell and Rudolph. The deputy found that Martin was driving with a suspended license at the time he lost control of the vehicle. The deputy also located a small amount of marijuana in the vehicle. All three occupants were released on summonses.
Jody Cubbedge Jr., 41, of 129 Uranus St., Bayou Vista, was arrested Saturday at 2:12 a.m. on a warrant for the charge of monetary instrument abuse.
A deputy patrolling La. 182 in the Patterson area stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The deputy identified the driver as Cubbedge and located the active warrant for his arrest. The warrant stems from an investigation in January when deputies received a report that counterfeit money was used at a business in Bayou Vista. The deputy positively identified Cubbedge as the subject who paid for goods at the store with a fake $100 bill. Cubbedge was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the warrant. No bail is set.
Dane Farrington Jr., 36, of 2008 Keith St., Morgan City, was arrested Saturday at 8:50 p.m. on a warrant for failure to appear on charges of possession of Schedule I drugs—second offense and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Farrington turned himself in at the St. Mary parish Law Enforcement Center on other charges. During booking, a correctional deputy located the active warrant for his arrest. No bail is set.
Damarco McDaniel, 24, of 811 Tenth St., Franklin, was arrested Sunday at 3:03 a.m. on a warrant for the charge of disturbing the peace fighting.
A deputy conducting a traffic stop on La. 182 in Baldwin identified an occupant of the vehicle as McDaniel and located the active warrant for his arrest. McDaniel was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. McDaniel was released on a $1,000 bond.
