Police Reports 12-14-17

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrests:
Michael Forristal, 45, of 202 South Railroad Avenue, Morgan City, was arrested Tuesday at 11:05 a.m. on charges of two counts of theft and two counts of criminal trespass.
Jim Businelle, 58, of 202 South Railroad Avenue, Morgan City, was arrested Tuesday at 11:05 a.m. on charges of seven counts of theft and seven counts of criminal trespass.
A deputy investigated complaints of trespassing and theft at a business in the Siracusa area and identified two suspects as Forristal and Businelle. The deputy collected evidence that the two men entered onto the business property and stole scrap metal on multiple occasions. The deputy located Forristal and Businelle at their residence. They were subsequently transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.
Trinity Todd, 22, of 3578 Second St., Berwick, was arrested Tuesday at 7:55 p.m. on two City Court of Morgan City warrants for failure to appear on the charges of simple battery involving domestic violence and contempt of court.
A deputy investigating a complaint of a disturbance in Amelia conducted a traffic stop on Lake Palourde Road, on a vehicle matching the description of a subject involved. While speaking with the occupants of the vehicle, the deputy found that the passenger, Todd, had active warrants for her arrest. Todd was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.
Clinton Williams, 53, of 131 Rizzo St., Patterson, was arrested Tuesday at 11:48 p.m. on a warrant for failure to appear on charges of operating a vehicle with a suspended driver’s license and no seat belt and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of littering and outdoor burning violation.
A deputy located Williams on Northwest Boulevard in Franklin on the warrants, and transported him to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail is set at $3,000.
James Bailey Jr., 23, of 110 Railroad Avenue, Patterson, was arrested Wednesday at 12:54 a.m. on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal damage to property.
A deputy patrolling Bayou Vista observed a vehicle on La. 182 with one working headlight and one working brake light. The deputy conducted a traffic stop, identified the driver as Bailey, and located the active warrant for his arrest. Bailey was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.
Sean Ferrell, 37, of 313 Venus Road, Bayou Vista, was arrested Wednesday at 4:26 a.m. on charges of reckless operation of a motor vehicle, operating vehicle while intoxicated and driver must be licensed.
A deputy observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed through the parking lot of a business in Bayou Vista. The deputy then observed the vehicle turn and accelerate to a high rate of speed on Venus Road. The deputy conducted a traffic stop. While speaking with the driver, Ferrell, the deputy smelled the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his person. After observing other signs of intoxication, the deputy performed a standardized field sobriety test. Ferrell conducted the test poorly. He was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail is set at $3,250.
Kelly McMinn, 21, of 6607 Hoper Drive, Houston, Texas was arrested Tuesday at 3:57 p.m. on charges of turning movements and required signals violation, driver must be licensed, possession of Schedule I marijuana, a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, a warrant for failure to appear on charges of possession of Schedule I drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia and a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of speeding.
Narcotics detectives patrolling the Patterson area observed a vehicle failing to properly signal, turn onto St. Peter Street, and US 90. Detectives conducted a traffic stop, spoke with the driver who was identified as McMinn, and smelled the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. During the subsequent investigation, detectives located marijuana on McMinn’s person. Detectives also found that she was operating the vehicle without a driver’s license. McMinn was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center. During booking, a correctional deputy located the active warrants for her arrest. No bail is set.
Kel’lisha Daniels, 19, of 472 Verdun Lane, Verdunville, was arrested Tuesday at 7:11 p.m. on the charge of hit-and-run driving.
A deputy investigated a hit and run crash that occurred in the parking lot of a business off La. 182 in Centerville on Dec. 2. The deputy developed information that Daniels was involved in the incident and subsequently collected evidence that Daniels struck another vehicle with the SUV she was driving and left the scene. Daniels was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Daniels was released on a $1,000 bond.
Chance Boudreaux, 23, of 400 Railroad Avenue, Patterson, was arrested Wednesday at 7:40 p.m. on charges of improper lane usage, possession of Schedule II methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of Schedule II oxycodone with intent to distribute, possession of Schedule IV clonazepam with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, obstruction of justice, expired driver’s license and possession of counterfeit controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute.
Heather Merritt, 20, of 412 Pine St., Mamou was arrested Wednesday at 7:40 p.m. on charges of possession of Schedule II methamphetamine, possession of Schedule II oxycodone, possession of Schedule IV clonazepam, obstruction of justice, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance.
Narcotics detectives patrolling Amelia observed a vehicle cross the center line of Duhon Bypass Road and drive in the middle of the roadway. Detectives conducted a traffic stop and identified Boudreaux as the driver and Merritt as a passenger. While speaking with the occupants, detectives smelled the strong odor of marijuana coming from the car. During a search of the vehicle, detectives located methamphetamine, pills, a handgun, and drug related paraphernalia. Through investigation, detectives collected evidence that Boudreaux was selling the drugs. Detectives also found that some of the suspected methamphetamine was fake, and that Boudreaux intended to sell it as real methamphetamine. Boudreaux and Merritt were transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.
Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the following arrests:
Graceland Gable, 30, of Gum Street, Franklin, was arrested Tuesday at 2:42 p.m. on the charge of forgery. Gable was booked, processed, and released on a $5,000 bond.
Vontranequa Paul, 22, of Myra Street, Franklin, was arrested Tuesday at 6:02 p.m. on the charge of theft of goods. Paul was booked, processed, and released pending Third Ward City Court.
