Police Reports 11-2-17

Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the following arrests:
Ronnie Boatman, 39, of Pine Street, Franklin, was arrested Tuesday at 3:59 a.m. on charges of possession of schedule II methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a firearm by a person convicted of certain felonies.
Boatman was additionally charged with illegal possession of a stolen firearm, which was stolen out of a vehicle, and parole violation. Boatman also has several felony convictions that date back to 1998. Boatman was booked, processed and held with no bond set at the time of press release.
J’Trell Conner, 17, of Third Street, Franklin, was arrested Tuesday at 8:08 p.m. on charges of simple battery, stalking, wearing a mask in public and resisting an officer with force. Conner was booked, processed, and held on a $2,000 bond.
Roland Boutte Jr., 20, of Sorrell Road, Jeanerette, was arrested Tuesday at 11:42 p.m. on a warrant for Jeanerette City Court for failure to appear on the charge of speeding. Boutte was booked, processed, and held on a $250 bond.
Samuel Perry Jr., 46, of Pine Street, Franklin, was arrested Wednesday at 1:54 a.m. on the charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Perry was booked, processed, and held on a $2,500 bond.
Chitimacha Police Chief Hal Hutchinson reported the following arrest:
Bernard Colbert, 34, of Martin Luther King Street, Baldwin, was arrested Friday on charges of criminal trespass, disturbing the peace by intoxication, two counts of resisting an officer with force of violence, battery on officer, two counts of obstruction of justice, attempted escape, two counts of simple criminal damage to property, possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was transported to the parish jail.
Friday, officers responded to a tribal business in reference to a subject that was trespassing. During the investigation, the subject was identified as Bernard Colbert. When officers made contact with Colbert, he attempted to flee from the officers, and then started resisting them. Officers were able to place Colbert under arrest. The Chitimacha K-9 was deployed for the possibility of narcotics and made the arrest.
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrests:
Bryan Paul, 26, of 10699 La. 182, Franklin, was arrested Tuesday at 8:38 p.m. on charges of possession of Schedule I marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
A deputy monitoring traffic on US 90 in Calumet observed a vehicle traveling 69 miles per hour in a posted 55 miles per hour zone. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and identified the driver as Paul. While speaking with him, the deputy observed a glass pipe in Paul’s pocket. The deputy received consent to search the vehicle and found a small amount of marijuana and a grinder. Paul was also cited for the speeding violation. He was released on a summons.
Natalija Djolevic, 29, of 10600 Waybridge Drive, Village, Maryland, was arrested Tuesday at 11:21 p.m. on charges of speeding, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, resisting an officer by flight and resisting an officer.
A deputy responded to a call for service regarding a reckless driver on US 90 in the Berwick area. The deputy observed the suspect vehicle moving at 80 miles per hour in a posted 45 miles per hour zone and initiated a traffic stop. The driver slowed the vehicle but continued to travel through Patterson, Franklin, and Baldwin. With the assistance of Louisiana State Police, the vehicle was stopped in Jeanerette. The deputy detained the driver, Djolevic. Following an investigation, Djolevic was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail is set at $5,000.
Scott Mayon, 46, of 106 Mayon St., Morgan City, was arrested Wednesday at 4:31 a.m. on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal damage to property.
A deputy patrolling Amelia observed Mayon on the side of the road and stopped to speak with him. The deputy located the active warrant for his arrest and transported Mayon to the St. Mary Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail is set at $3,500.
Krystal Meranta, 28, of 206 Clarke Road, Bayou Vista, was arrested Wednesday at 12:53 p.m. on the charge of theft and on two warrants for failure to appear on the charge of theft of goods and the charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
A deputy investigating a shoplifting case at a store in Bayou Vista collected evidence that Meranta attempted to leave the store without paying for items she concealed in a backpack. The deputy also located the outstanding warrants for her arrest. Meranta was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail is set at $6,500.
Clarence Kelly, 47, of 1041 Grace St., Siracusaville, was arrested Wednesday at 4:25 p.m. on charges of unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling and resisting an officer.
Mary Griffin, 48, of 1363 St. Joseph St., Siracusaville, was arrested Wednesday at 4:25 p.m. on charges of unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Deputies responded to a call for service from a resident in Siracusaville, about an unauthorized entry of a home. Deputies went into the home and located Kelly and Griffin inside. The suspects entered the property without the permission of the resident. As the deputy detained Kelly, he attempted to pull away. Following the investigation, Kelly and Griffin were transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.
Blake Alexander Sr., 29, of 201 Main St., Jeanerette, was arrested Wednesday at 6:12 p.m. on the charge of violation of the parish leash law.
A deputy investigating an animal complaint found that Alexander’s dog entered onto private property and bit two victims. The dog was retrieved by a St. Mary Parish Animal Control Officer, for monitoring. Alexander was released on a summons.
