Arrest Reports 7-25-18

Franklin Police Chief Tina Thibodeaux reported the following arrests:
Brian Turner, 30, of Easy Street, Franklin, was arrested Friday at 8:08 p.m. on warrants for St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office for charges of theft of a motor vehicle, theft and domestic abuse battery.
Turner was booked, processed, and released on a $6,000 bond.
Joseph James, 37, of Iberia Street, Franklin, was arrested Friday at 11:21 p.m. on the charge of possession of Schedule IV narcotics alprazolam—first offense.
James was additionally arrested on a warrant for Third Ward City Court for failure to appear on charges of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving under suspension, improper parking and no insurance.
James was booked, processed, and held with no bond set.
Lynette Matthews, 32, of Monnot Road, Jeanerette, was arrested Friday at 11:29 p.m. on the charge of possession of Schedule I narcotics marijuana—first offense.
Matthews was booked, processed, and released on a $2,000 bond.
Ingrid Jack, 28, of Pickett Street, Franklin, was arrested Saturday at 10:04 p.m. on the charge of flight from an officer.
Jack was booked, processed, and released to appear in Third Ward City Court.
Jared Eugene, 32, of Captain Boutte Road, Jeanerette, was arrested Sunday at 12:37 a.m. on charges of possession of Schedule I narcotics marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of a legend drug without a prescription—three counts and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Eugene was additionally arrested on a warrant for 16th Judicial District Court for failure to appear on the charge of non-support.
Eugene was booked, processed, and held with no bond set.
Dondrea Joseph, 25, of Anderson Street, New Iberia, was arrested Sunday at 2:52 a.m. on charges of resisting an officer and remaining where forbidden.
Joseph was additionally arrested on a warrant for 16th Judicial District Court for failure to appear on the charge of possession of Schedule II narcotics with intent to distribute and a warrant for 15th Judicial District Court for failure to appear on the charge of speeding.
Joseph was booked, processed, and held with no bond set.
Missy Alexander, 31, of Joan Drive, Franklin, was arrested Monday at 12:21 a.m. on a warrant for Third Ward City Court for failure to appear on the charge of no seat belt.
Alexander was booked, processed, and released on a $75 bond.
Mitchell Guilbeau, 23, of Ibert Street, Franklin, was arrested Monday at 2:58 a.m. on the charge of remaining where forbidden. Guilbeau was booked, processed, and held on a $500 bond.
Keiarius Gordon, 28, of Samuel Street, Franklin, was arrested Tuesday at 12:31 p.m. on a warrant for 16th Judicial District Court for failure to appear on the charge of theft.
Gordon was booked, processed, and released on a $750 bond.
Chitimacha Police Chief Hal Hutchinson reported the following arrests:
Orien Butaud, 67, of Cherokee Street, Charenton, was arrested June 10 for the federal charge of simple assault and was released on a summons.
Patricia Butaud, 67, of Cherokee Street, Charenton, was arrested June 10 for cruelty to juveniles and was released on a summons.
Officers received a complaint of a possible child abuse situation that occurred on the reservation. After conducting an investigation, they arrested the Butauds.
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Scott Anslum reported the following arrests:
Shane Daigle, 48, of 719 Clark Road, Morgan City, was arrested Tuesday at 7:39 a.m. on the charge of leash law violation.
A deputy patrolling Bayou Vista responded to an animal complaint on Carol Road. The deputy made contact with Daigle and found evidence that his dog was roaming the neighborhood without a leash. Daigle was released on a summons.
Tanya Givens, 40, of 5058 N. Bayou Black Drive, Gibson, was arrested Tuesday at 9:40 a.m. on charges of driving under suspension and no insurance.
A deputy patrolling Centerville responded to a single vehicle crash on US 90E near La. 317. The deputy made contact with the driver, Givens. The deputy found evidence that Givens lost control of the vehicle after a blowout. Through the investigation, the deputy learned that Givens was operating the vehicle with a suspended driver’s license and without insurance. Givens was released on a summons.
Paulina Boles, 37, of 205 John St., Baldwin, was arrested Tuesday at 4:36 p.m. on the charge of speeding and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of operating a vehicle with a suspended driver’s license.
A deputy patrolling Sorrell observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on La. 182. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Boles. The deputy also learned of an active warrant for Boles arrest. Boles was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Boles was released on a $750 bond.
Ricky Simon, 60, of 108 Romero Lane, Jeanerette, was arrested Tuesday at 8:23 p.m. on charges of driving while intoxicated and improper lane usage.
Deputies patrolling the Baldwin area responded to the area of La. 182 near Ralph Darden to assist Baldwin Police Department officers with a reckless driver complaint. Deputies learned that while traveling on La. 182, the vehicle swerved in and out of the lane of travel and struck the side of the Baldwin Bridge. Deputies made contact with the driver of the vehicle, Simon. While speaking with Simon, deputies could smell a strong odor of alcohol emitting from his person. A deputy conducted standardize field sobriety and Simon performed poorly. Simon was transported to the Franklin Police Department for chemical testing on the Intoxilyzer 9000. Simon’s blood alcohol content was 0.198g%. Simon was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail is set at $2,750.
John Boyd Jr., 19, of 122 Alexander Lane, Franklin, was arrested Tuesday at 11:44 p.m. on the charge of driving under suspension.
A deputy patrolling St. Joseph observed a vehicle traveling with improper license plate lighting. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Boyd. Through the investigation, the deputy learned that Boyd was operating the vehicle with a suspended driver’s license. Boyd was released on a summons.
Gregory Douglas, 31, of 405 Rosebud St., Baldwin, was arrested Wednesday at 4:05 a.m. on charges of driving under suspension and failure to use turn signal.
A deputy patrolling the area of Franklin observed a vehicle fail to use a turn signal at the intersection of Yokley Road and La. 182. The deputy made contact with the driver, Douglas. The deputy learned that Douglas was operating the vehicle with a suspended driver’s license. Douglas was released on a summons.
