Valane Ann Solar, a native and longtime resident of Morgan City, died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2025, at the age of 59.
She is survived by her daughter, Lauryssa LaCoste; her grandson; and her brothers, James Solar and his wife, Lina, Robert Solar, Eric Solar, and Nicholas Solar.
She is preceded in death by her parents and three sisters.
Family, friends and members of the community were invited to attend the visitation from 11 a.m. Monday until service time, which was at 1 p.m. at Hargrave Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Morgan City Cemetery.
Hargrave Funeral Home of Morgan City is in charge of arrangements.
