Stella M. Hebert Castille

May 8, 1948 — April 29, 2021
Stella M. Hebert Castille, 72, a resident of Bayou Vista, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at Thibodaux Regional Medical Center.
Stella was born on May 8, 1948 in Morgan City, the daughter of Milton Hebert Sr. and Thelma Duval Hebert.
Stella was a homemaker who worked tirelessly to take care of her family, tending to their every need. She loved to cook for them and go camping with them. She loved to go out dancing and enjoyed her outings to go shopping. Stella loved her trips to that casino as well. Stella truly loved her family, and cherished every moment she was able to spend with them, especially those special moments with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband of 30 years, Horace Castille of Bayou Vista; nine children, Craig Palmature and wife Tracy of New Iberia, Daniel J. Castille and wife Dana of Opelousas, Kenneth J. Castille and wife Becky of Morgan City, Gary Palmature Sr. and wife Joy of St. Clair, Missouri, Roger D. Castille and wife Theresa of Mamou, Kristie Rodrigue and husband Clement of Bayou Vista, Brian Castille and wife Rhona of Opelousas, Jared Palmature and wife Carin of Broussard, Madison Stella Palmature of Bayou Vista; 30 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one brother, Milton Hebert Jr. and wife Sherry of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; one sister, Diana Guillory and husband Junior of Stephensville.
Stella was preceded in death by her parents, Milton Sr. and Thelma Duval Hebert; one brother, Hillary Hebert; one sister, Geraldine Acosta; one granddaughter, Ashlyn Renee Palmature.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on her birthday, Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Twin City Funeral Home with Father Thainese Alphonse officiating. A memorial visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services with a rosary being prayed at 10:30 a.m. Following the services, Stella will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
