SHIRLEY MATTHEWS “NANNY” BROOKS

Shirley Matthews “Nanny” Brooks, a resident of Los Angeles, CA and lifelong resident of Morgan City, La., passed away on Sunday November 24, 2019 at Centinela Hospital Medical Center in Inglewood, CA.
Visitation will be observed on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at the Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church 113 Federal Avenue Morgan City, La. from 9 a.m. until funeral services at 1 p.m. Reverend C. F. Smith, will officiate the services. Entombment will follow in the Morgan City Mausoleum.
When the Lord call Shirley home, she now leaves to cherish her memory are her loving daughter, Yvette (Gregory) Williams of Los Angeles, CA.; beloved grandchildren; her great-grandchildren; her loving niece, and her children and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Shirley was preceded in death by her loving son; her parents, two brothers, two sisters, and a niece.
