SHERREL GROS LANDRY

Sherrel Gros Landry was a native of Morgan City, Louisiana and a resident of Garden Ridge, Texas. She was born January 26, 1946, to the late Shelby and Mae Gros. Surrounded by her loved ones, Sherrel passed away peacefully in her home on September 3, 2023, at the age of 77.

Sherrel will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her daughter, Hope Cowart (David) of Garden Ridge, TX; grandson, Peyton Cowart (Kelsey) of Schertz, TX; granddaughter, Morgan Cowart (fiancé Bryce Giacumakis) of Schertz, TX; and two great-granddaughters, Avery and Emmy; niece, Debbie (Ace) Arceneaux of Stephensville, LA; great-nephew, John (Danielle) Arceneaux of Berwick, LA; and great-great-niece, Katie Arceneaux of Berwick, LA; and great-great-nephew, Jesse (fiancé Savannah Riley) Arceneaux of Morgan City, LA; brother-in-law, Aubin Landry of Morgan City, LA; sister-in-law, Mae Lynn Landry of
Morgan City, LA; and a host of other family, friends, and loved ones.

Sherrel was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Landry, her parents, one sister, Alberta (Leland) Henry, and one great-nephew, Marcus Arceneaux, and her beloved family dog, Tibet.

Funeral Services will be on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 415 Union St., Morgan City, LA 70380 with visitation beginning at 9:30 AM followed by mass beginning at 11:00 AM officiated by Rev. Brett Lapeyrouse. Sherrel’s cremated remains will be interred at Fort Sam Houston
National Cemetery in San Antonio, TX. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
