SHEDRICK ANTHONY POWELL

Shedrick Anthony Powell, 57, a native of New Orleans and resident of Amelia, died Sunday, March 21, 2021, at Ochsner St. Mary.
Visitation will be Saturday from 11 a.m. until services at 1 p.m. at Siracusaville Recreation Center - gym. Masks and social distancing required. A second line service with jazz band and entombment will follow in Morgan City Cemetery. Services accessible on funeral home Facebook page.
He is survived by his wife, Khahola Hill-Powell of Amelia; four children, Shadrica Drew and Shedrick Drew, both of New Orleans, and Sy’dre Powell and Sa’miyyah Powell, both of Amelia; his mother, Mrs. Ben Hanchett Sr. of New Orleans; siblings, Jabari Asante, Kim McDowell and Demetrice McDowell, all of New Orleans; and a host of grandchildren and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his father, sister, and maternal and paternal grandparents.
