Scott Ramsey, former Parish Council member, dies at age 75

Scott Ramsey, an attorney for more than 50 years and a two-term St. Mary Parish councilman, died Saturday at age 75.
Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Friday at Twin City Funeral Home in Morgan City. The funeral will follow at 11 a.m. Friday with Pastor Marty Harden officiating.
Ramsey, a New Orleans native, lived in Bayou Vista.
He was elected to represent that community on the Parish Council in 2015 and again in 2019. Already battling ill health, he decided not to run for a third term in2023. He was succeeded for the current term by David Hill.
Ramsey's survivors include his wife, Tammy Gaudet Ramsey, and their three children.
