A Celebration of Life for Rosa Mary “Mrs. Bae Bae” Johnson Jones King, was held Saturday, June 28, 2025, 11:00 AM at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church in Morgan City, LA. Minister Billy Reaux officiated the service.
Visitation began at 9:00 AM, until the commencement of the celebration at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church in Morgan City, LA.
Rosa was interred at Morgan City Cemetery in Morgan City, LA.
Rosa Mary “Mrs. Bae Bae” Johnson Jones King, a resident of Patterson, LA, and native of Morgan City, LA.
“Mrs. Bae Bae,” as she was affectionately known to many, leaves to cherish her memory her children, Natalie Elaine (Earl) Johnson of Morgan City, LA; Lawrence Clark Johnson, Jr. of Patterson, LA; Charlene (Cornelius) Carr of Fort Worth, TX; Charlie (Crystal, deceased) Jones and Claude Anthony Jones of Morgan City, LA; Glen Ray Jones of Houston, TX; Susie Catherine Jones of Lafayette, LA; Louis Wayne (Florence) Jones, Sr. of Patterson, LA; Lizzie Katherine (Claude) Bartley of Houston, TX; thirty-one grandchildren, fifty-three great-grandchildren, eleven great-great-grandchildren: two godchildren, Carlton Cosey of Morgan City, LA and Channing (Doneshea) Johnson of Dallas, TX; host of other loving relatives and dear friends.
Mrs. King was preceded in death by her husband, Henry King; three children, Willie “Little Willie” Johnson, Peggy Denise Jones, and Lillie Jones Fryer; her parents, Elmore Johnson, Sr. and Lula Lee Smith Johnson; siblings; Willie Johnson, Lucy Mae Johnson and Elmore Johnson, Jr. and both her maternal and paternal grandparents.
