PEGGY MARY KELLER MORGAN
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at St. Anne Catholic Church of Youngsville, for Peggy Mary Keller Morgan, 91, who passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2023.
Father Russo of St. Anne Catholic Church will be Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services.
Burial will take place at Sacred Heart of Jesus Mausoleum – Broussard.
Peggy, a longtime resident of Youngsville, was the daughter of the late Raymond Sidney Keller and the former Maggie Eva Blanco. She was born on Halloween, 1931, in Bayou L’Ourse as the 6th of 10 children. Peggy left school when her father died but later received her GED. She met her husband and raised a family of 4 in Morgan City, moving to Youngsville in 1973. Peggy always stayed busy and gave every task her all, whether working, cleaning, gardening, or caring for her family. Known to be sassy at times, she thoroughly enjoyed dancing, playing cards, drinking old fashions, and eating seafood with a beer at hand.
She is survived by her children, Colette Morgan Anzalone (Joey), Edwina Morgan (Jude Fero), Nathan Morgan (Tracey McNutt), and Duke Morgan; her grandchildren, Jacob Pierce, Morgan Pierce, Joseph Anzalone, Jonathan Morgan, Justin Anzalone, Jenci Moore, and Jennifer Fero; 13 great-grandchildren, Grace Pierce, Hardy Anzalone, Reese Morgan, Marley Pierce, Raimee Morgan, Landry Anzalone, Rylee Morgan, Alexandra Anzalone, Logan Pierce, Caroline Anzalone, Guidry Anzalone, Eloise Pierce, and Annalise Anzalone; siblings, Ethel Aucoin, Maggie Vidos, and Patsy Laverne; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Edwin E. Morgan; parents, Raymond and Maggie Keller; grandchild, Joshua Morgan; and siblings, Bernice Keller, Raymond “Doo” Keller, Jake Keller, Agnes Robicheaux, David Lee Keller, and Peter Keller.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home – Bertrand on Friday, September 29, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 PM on Friday evening in the funeral home. Visiting hours will continue Saturday, September 30, 2023 from 10:00 AM - 12 noon.
Pallbearers will be Nathan Morgan, Duke Morgan, Joey Anzalone, Jude Fero, Joseph Anzalone, and Justin Anzalone, with honorary pallbearers Jacob Pierce and Jonathan Morgan.
