PEARL MARIE PELLERIN

May 1, 1944 — April 30, 2022
Pearl Marie Pellerin, 77, of Franklin, Louisiana, peacefully passed away on April 30th surrounded by loved ones, after suffering a stroke.
Pearl was born on May 1, 1944 to Numa Morvant Sr. and Loritta St Amant Morvant, in the city of Abbeville. She is preceded in death by her husband James R. Pellerin; Siblings, LJ Gene Morvant and Grace Bergman; Stepsons, Ernest P. Stratton Jr. and Lonnie J. Stratton Sr.; Granddaughter, Sasha Stratton.
Pearl served her community of Franklin, where she worked for the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office, and committed her time assisting in local government campaign efforts.
Always on the go, and certainly never meeting a stranger, Pearl lived a full life celebrating many accomplishments, hobbies and interests. Throughout her many milestones in life, her greatest pride came from her children. With skilled hands, from years of experience, she taught her children and grandchildren how to give life, and find joy, in nature and the small things in life.
Pearl’s favorite pastime was quilting and sewing, creating countless treasures shared with loved ones. Every piece small, but square by square sewn with love. She spent her sunny days fishing, always with the biggest grin on her face reeling in a catch. Her peaceful hours were well spent with her hands covered in soil. Tending her garden, pruning and propagating plants to share. A tradition that would quickly become a love language passed down. Pearl loved to travel, to adventure and experience new sights. She loved walking beaches, while hunting simple treasures and rocks. She relished collecting antiques, unique odds and ends, and sharing their story.
Pearl is survived by her son, Gene J. Stratton Sr. and his wife, Amanda; Daughter, Kathleen S. Bland, and her husband Glenn Bland; Daughter, Christine S. Crane; Daughter, Rebecca A. Concienne; Stepdaughter, Pamela S. Hubler; Grandchildren, Gene J. Stratton Jr., Shane Stratton, Kasey Stratton, Taylor Mayon, Logan Stratton, Justin Stratton, Destiny Crane, Blaze Crane, Kayla M. Bergeron and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held in her honor on May 14, 2022 at 255 Meadow Drive, Bridge City, Texas 77611.
