OSCAR LOUIE VICK, JR.

Oscar Louie Vick, Jr. went home to be with his Lord on December 5, 2023.
Louie was born to Oscar Louie Vick and Jennie Gurganus Vick in Washington, North Carolina, on February 5, 1943, grew up in Vivian, Louisiana, and passed away in Berwick, Louisiana, where he had lived for fifty-six years.
He was a Christian, a long-time member and deacon of Bayou Vista Baptist Church, a devoted husband of Marilyn Hardy Vick for sixty years, the loving father of sons Brian David Vick and Aaron Paul Vick and proud grandfather of Katie Vick Techman, Erin Nicole Vick, Jacob Brian Vick, Roman Michael Vick, and Adrian Paul Vick. He was also survived by his daughter-in-law Theresa Blanco Vick; sister Linda Vick McDow; sisters-in-law Carolyn Hardy, Patty Hardy Bossier and Peggy Hardy Boone; brothers-in-law Lonnie Hardy, Brian Hardy and James McDow and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Louie was a dedicated employee of Halliburton Company for thirty years and of Diamond Tank Rentals for twenty.
A memorial service will be held at Bayou Vista Baptist Church on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at 2 p.m. If desired, donations can be made to the children’s building renovation fund of Bayou Vista Baptist Church.
