Obituary: Timothy Rocklyn White
Timothy Rocklyn White, affectionately known as Tim, passed away at the age of 66 on Wednesday, May 27, 2026.
Tim was born in Morgan City on May 1, 1960. He was a longtime employee of Oceaneering, working his way up to Marine Operations Manager which brought him all over the world. A man with a big heart, Tim went out of his way to help others. He was known to have never met a stranger and was loved by all who knew him. Some of his favorite pastimes included camping, fishing, and spending time on the water. But above all, he was a simple man who loved his family. He will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate to have known him.
Those he leaves to cherish his memory include his wife of nearly 50 years, Irma Davis White; his son, Chad P. White and his husband Trey Morvant; his brother, Michael White and his wife Nina; his sister, Diane Bergeron; his in-laws, Judy Davis, Joe Davis and his wife Peggy, Jimmy Davis and his wife Donna, and Wilfred Davis; former daughter-in-law, Paula White; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his son, Chance Phillip White; his granddaughter, Carmen Alexis White; his father, Woodie Carl White; his brothers, Woodie Jr., Larry, Wayne, and Wade White; and his parents-in-law, Milton A. Davis and Margie Rita Ayo Davis.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday, June 5, 2026, at Ibert’s Mortuary in Patterson from 9:00 AM until time of dismissal at 12:15 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM at Sacred Heart Church in Morgan City, with Father Brett Lapeyrouse as Celebrant. Following the Mass, Tim will be laid to rest in Ibert’s Memorial Park Cemetery in Patterson.
