Obituary: Mary Ann Knight

Mary Ann Wright, 78, a resident of Patterson, died Thursday, July 2, 2026.
Visitation will be Saturday from 9 a.m. until services at 11 a.m. at Jones Funeral Home in Morgan City. Burial will follow in New Salem Cemetery in Patterson.
She is survived by children, Gerald Allen of Baldwin, Alphonse Chaney Jr. of Thibodaux, Kazaria Williams of Lawrenceville, Georgia, and Annette Hammond of Cibolo, Texas; siblings, Thomas Allen and Linda Allen, both of New Orleans, Sandra MaKay of Ponchatoula, and Myrtle Ward and Diana Allen, both of Raleigh, North Carolina; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and five siblings.
