Obituary: John Beaurgard Grogan

John Beaurgard Grogan died Sept. 21, 2026, at the age of 69. He born on July 27, 1957.
Visitation will be from noon until a Celebration of Life at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, at Good Hope Baptist Church, 908 Washington St., Patterson. Burial will follow in the New Salem Cemetery.
He is survived by his significant other, Paula Smith of Morgan City; two daughters, Alice Mae (Kenneth) Grogan-Townsend of Gray and Lakisha Lashea Grogan of Morgan City; his son, Lonnie Patrick Payton of Franklin; his five sisters, Shirley (Earthel) Turner, Carol (Joe) Lewis, Etta (Taurus) Smith, Claudia (Michael) Taylor, and Mary (Carlos) Padron, all of Patterson; 13 grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son John B. Grogan, Jr.; a grandson; a sister; and two brothers.
