NORMA LOUIS CARTER WASHINGTON
Norma Louis Carter Washington, 80, a resident of Los Angeles, Calif., and a native of Charenton, La., passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at 6:30 a.m. at Good Samaritan Hospital.
A Memorial will be observed on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at the Macedonia Baptist Church, 145 Prevost Road, Ash, La. at 11 a.m. Ulysses Mitchel Jr. is the pastor and Rev. Tonious R. Carter will officiate the services.
Memories of Norma will forever remain in the hearts of her three daughters, Yolanda Washington Sedaghat, Laylani Nixon-Washington and a special niece Wanda Washington, all of Los Angeles, Calif., and Violet Faith Washington of Baton Rouge, La.; one brother Jerial F. Carter (wife Vallerie) of Charenton, La.; four sisters, Sherry A. Carter of Charenton, La.; Lillie Lois Carter-Baker of Baldwin, La.; Guendelyn Annette Carter Jeanlouis (husband Ricky) of Lafayette, La., and Roslyn Carter Phillips of Los Angles, Calif.; five grandchildren, one great-grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents, James and Emily Carter Sr., her husband Clarence Washington Jr., two brothers, Raymond and James Jr. Carter, one sister-in-law, two brother-in-laws and a great-nephew.
