MYRTLE LEE DENNIS

Myrtle Lee Dennis, 96, a native and resident of Franklin, La., died following a short illness Saturday, September 11, 2021, at 5:10 a.m. at Franklin Foundation Hospital in Franklin, la.
Visitation will be ob-served at Greater St. Stephen Baptist Church Saturday, Sept. 18, 2021 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Burial rites will be read at the church at 2 p.m. Interment will be at the Golden Queen Cemetery on Elm Street in Centerville, La. Face coverings are required for all at-tendees.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents. She is sur-vived by five sons, James Dennis (Ida), William Dennis, (Christine), Leroy Dennis, Henry Lee Dennis (Veronica), all of Franklin, and Benjamin Dennis (Ellen) of Ham-mond, Indiana. Three daughters, Geraldine Swanson of Franklin, Doris Dennis Coleman of East Chicago, Indiana, and Linda Faye Davis, of Hammond, Indiana; one brother, Herman Phillips (Geraldine) of Houston, Texas; 58 grandchildren, 149 great grandchildren and 25 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four brothers, two sisters one son and one daughter.
Rev. Ronald C. Young will preside. The Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of prepara-tions.
