MATTHEW “MATT” HARMAN JR.

Matthew “Matt” Hartman Jr., 94, a native of Patterson, La. and resident of Franklin, La. passed away on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at 11:25 a.m. at Teche Regional Medical Center in Morgan City, La.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Jones Funeral Home 715 Sixth St. in Morgan City, La.
Matthew “Matt” was born April 15, 1923 to the late Hattie Gant and Matthew Hartman Sr. in Patterson, La. Matthew was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and received an honorable discharge.

Matthew leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife of 35 years, Mrs. Dolores Darby-Hartman of Franklin, La.; a son, Keith Hartman of California; two daughters, Rashawn Hartman of Nevada and Veda L. Hartman of Texas; two stepsons, Bryan A. Darby of Baton Rouge, La. and Adrian J. Delasbour Sr. of Centerville, La.; six nieces, Hattie Wilson and Sandi Corney both of Patterson, La., Betty Cannon, Gloria Hebert, Patsy A. Powell, and Debbie Favors all of Morgan City, La.; three nephews, Pastor Jack Lewis of Morgan City, La., Russell Thomas and Matthew Thomas both of Patterson, La.; five grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, one great-grandson, one step great-grandson; two devoted friends, Charles Wilson of Patterson, La. and Reginald Thomas of Houston, Texas.
Matthew was preceded in death by his parents, Hattie Gant and Matthew Hartman Sr., one brother and nine sisters.
