MARY LOUISE “GAIL” SMITH

Mary Louise “Gail” Smith, 80, a resident and native of Patterson, La., passed away peacefully on Sunday June 20, 2021 at 11:07 p.m. at Ochsner St. Mary.
Visitation will be observed on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at the St. Luke Baptist Church, 1709 Harry St., Patterson, La. 70392, from 11 a.m. until funeral services at 1 p.m. with Pastor Keith F. Verrett Sr., Officiating. Burial will follow funeral services in the New Salem Cemetery - Willing Workers side in Patterson, La.
Memories of “Gail,” as she was known to many, will forever remain in the hearts of her sons, Jonathan (Linda) Smith of Berwick, La., Tyler (Bridgette) Smith of Katy, TX and George (Ninette) Williams, III of Patterson, La.; sister, Shirley May; brothers, Hilliard Smith, Jr. and Arthur James Smith all of Patterson, La.; fourteen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Beatrice Carrier Smith and Hilliard Smith Sr.; two sons, Tanny Smith and Timothy Ray Smith; siblings, Huey P. Smith, Sarah Augman, Al Smith and Deloris Smith, and a grandson, Jamie Smith.
