MARIO J. RICO

Mario J. Rico, 58, a native of El Salvador and a resident of Patterson, passed away surrounded by his family on Thursday, March 16, 2017.
Mario was a dedicated husband, father, brother, uncle and friend who was always there to lend a helping hand. Mario was a man who took great pride in helping others, whether at work or home. He loved to cook, especially grill with his nephews. He brought joy and laughter to all he met. Mario was a dedicated employee of Power Specialties, Inc. for 27 years.
Mario is survived by his wife, Olga Rico; children, Gabrielle Rico, and Marcus Holguin and companion Samantha Sehon; grandchildren, Victoria Holguin and James Corbin Holguin; siblings, Eleonora Aparicio and husband Noel, and A. Marilu Cooper and husband Clarence; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Amelia and Raymond Benavides; nieces and nephews, Carla Carline and husband Gregory, David Aparicio, Carlos Nosworthy and wife Dawnette, Paul Nosworthy, Linda Hoppe and husband Grant, Christina and Christopher Jaet, Norma and Jacob Marcell, Charles and Melissa Benavides, Michael and Mayna Benavides, and Carol and Frank Lacy; great-nieces and great-nephews, David and Brittany Carline, Victoria and Lyndi Cooper, Carlos and Andreanna Nosworthy, P.J. and Alexander Nosworthy, Gracie and Mia Hoppe, Michael Hill, Shawn and Marissa Marcell, Ireland Jaet, Clarissa and Mark Cordova, Matt Benavides, Josh Benavides, and Courtney Munoz; and special family friend, Arlene Aucoin.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Erlinda Rico; father, Carlos Rico; sisters, Miriam Nosworthy and Aida Rico; brother, Leonidas Morales; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Carol and Manny Benavides; and nephews, Carlos Glen Cooper and Timothy Hill.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 18, 2017, from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. at Hargrave Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. at Hargrave Funeral Home. Graveside services will be in the Morgan City Cemetery.
