MARIE LUCILLE ROBIN SAVOIE

April 16, 1935 — March 31, 2021
Marie Lucille Robin Savoie, a resident of Patterson for over 60 years, passed away at the age of 85 in the late night hours of Wednesday, March 31, 2021, at Ochsner St. Mary in Morgan City. Lucille was born in Leonville on April 16, 1935, the daughter of Homer N. Robin and née Rena Kidder. She was a devout Catholic and parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Patterson where she formerly served as a Eucharistic Minister. She was an elementary school teacher for many years in Patterson. She had a love for shopping, especially shoes, and enjoyed crocheting and baking for holidays. But most importantly, Lucille deeply loved her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Her memory will be cherished in the hearts of her four sons, Kirk W. Savoie and his wife Kathy, Keith P. Savoie and his fiancée Cheryl Jones, Kerry J. Savoie and his wife Rhonda, and Kenny H. Savoie and his wife Margaret; daughter-in-law, Charlotte F. Savoie; three siblings, Al Martin, Libby Saunders and Jude Martin; 14 grandchildren, Kwin Savoie, Kris Savoie, Kimberly Savoie, Kory Savoie, Kody Arnold, Kendall Arnold, Kirk J. Savoie, Keith M. Savoie, Karyn Blakeman, Katie Doré, Kristen Savoie, Kaci Strubb, Kolten Davis, and Kaleb Davis; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Lawrence J. Savoie; her son, Kevin Lawrence Savoie; her parents, Homer Napoleon Robin and Rena Kidder Robin Martin; and her daughter-in-law, Debra Blanchard Savoie.
Funeral services for Lucille will be held Friday, April 9, 2021, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Patterson during a 1:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Following, she will be laid to rest in the St. Joseph Cemetery Mausoleum. Monsignor J. Douglas Courville JCL will conduct the services. A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday at Ibert’s Mortuary in Patterson beginning at 11 a.m., with the Holy Rosary being prayed at noon, followed by dismissal from the funeral home at 1 p.m. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons.
