Madelyn Fontenot, 82, a native of Mamou and resident of Morgan City, died Saturday, July 27, 2024.
She is survived by three sons, Neil Fontenot of Youngsville, Christopher Fontenot of Gonzales and Phillip Fontenot of Morgan City; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Cynthia Marcantel.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, granddaughter and brother.
Visitation will be Tuesday, 9 a.m.-noon, at Hargrave Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 12:30 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Morgan City with graveside services following in the Morgan City Mausoleum.
Hargrave Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
