LINDA RIBARDI DeHART

September 4, 1947 - December 28, 2017
Linda Ribardi DeHart, 70, a resident of Patterson, passed away Thursday, Dec. 28, 2017, at home surrounded by her loving family.
Linda was born Sept. 4, 1947, in Berwick, the daughter of David Ribardi Sr. and Angnes Toups Ribardi.
Linda gave her life to her family; she enjoyed cookouts with her family and cooking for everyone. She is well known for her “Aunt Linda’s Gumbo,” which everyone loved. She also enjoyed going camping, and loved riding around on the golf cart sightseeing. Linda had seven grandchildren and they each shared a piece of her heart; she enjoyed going shopping with them, and pranking them any chance she could get. She also loved to play Bingo, card games, watching game shows and Young and the Restless.
Linda will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband of 30 years, Freeman DeHart of Patterson; one son, Dudley Daigle Jr. and wife Gale of Patterson; two daughters, Hilda “Lollie” Tabor and companion Mike LeBouef of Patterson, and Melissa Stratton and companion Kevin Fromenthal of Patterson; two brothers, John Ribardi Sr. and wife Bonnie of Bayou Vista, and Eddie Ribardi Sr. and companion Debra Merchant of Patterson; six sisters, Susie Stratton and husband Earnest of Bayou Vista, Evelyn Breaux of Oklahoma, Rhonda Wirtz and companion Rodney Stansbury of Morgan City, Edna Ribardi of Morgan City, Barbara Brown and husband Bruce of Morgan City, and Gloria Remedis of Erath; seven grandchildren, Bryan Lombas, Lonnie Stratton Jr., Dudley Daigle III, Kelsey Daigle, Jacelyn Daigle, Perry Tabor Jr. and Tayla Tabor; one great-granddaughter, Isabella Stratton; and great-granddog, Jippy.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, David Ribardi Sr. and Agnes Toups Ribardi; former husband, Dudley Daigle Sr.; one sister, Mazie Hebert; one brother, David Ribardi Jr.; and son-in-law, Perry Tabor Sr.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017, at Twin City Funeral Home. Visitation will begin Friday, Dec. 29, 2017, at 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. and will resume Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of service. After services, Linda will be laid to rest in Berwick Cemetery.
