LESTER VINCENT MINGO

Lester Vincent Mingo, 81, a native of Morgan City and resident of Gibson, died Saturday, Feb. 20, 2021, at Terrebonne General Hospital in Houma.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until services at 11 a.m. at Siracusaville Recreation Center. Masks and social distancing required. Services accessible on funeral home Facebook page. Burial will follow in Morgan City Cemetery.
He is survived by children, Lucy Jacobs of Mansura, Velma Hill of New Orleans, Regina McBride and Vanessa Mingo, both of Houston, Stephanie Francisco of Dallas, Leslie Kelly of Marksville, Jarenda Friels and Clemous Mingo, both of Morgan City, Frank Jones of Minot, North Dakota, and Jonathan Singleton of Patterson; stepdaugh-ters, Tamara Spencer of Gibson, Alisha Hanzy of Houston and Latasha Jones of Berwick; stepsons, Horace Hanzy Jr. of Gibson and Tonie Friels of Morgan City; two sisters, Lou Rideaux of Lake Charles and Geneva Mingo of Marksville; a brother, Leroy Jones of Franklin; 39 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his wife, father, mother, stepfather, four sisters, two brothers, a son and six grandchildren.
