LEONARD “EGGIE” SIMS

Leonard “Eggie” Sims Sr., 70, a native of Anguilla, MS, and a resident of Houma, La., passed away peacefully at 5:37 p.m. on Tuesday, January 23, 2018.

Public viewing will be from 8 a.m. until funeral time at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 2, 2018 at Eagle Wright Baptist Church, 3590 Hwy 316 in Gray, La. Burial will follow in Southdown Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Janet Coit Sims; sons, Demond Sims and Chucky Antoine all of Houma; daughters, Mrs. Bryan (Linda S.) Coston of Franklin, Campanella Antoine of Morgan City and Mrs. Byron (Leonesha) Diggs of Houma; twenty-two grandchildren; one great grandchild; brothers, Henry Lee Sims and Cleveland Sims Sr. both of Houma; sisters, Burnese B. Edmond of Morgan City, Mrs. Calvin (Josie S.) Green and Mrs. Lonnie (Texie) Johnson both of Houma; godson, and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his son, parents, sister, paternal grandparents, maternal grandparents.
