JOSEPH WILLIAM HUNTER

Joseph William “Josh” Hunter, 67, a resident of Lafayette, La. and native of Morgan City, La., passed away Saturday, July 7, 2018 at 9:26 am at his residence.
Visitation will be observed on Saturday July 21, 2018 at Jones Funeral Home, Inc. 1101 Main Street Franklin, La. from 9 a.m. until funeral services beginning at 11 a.m. Burial will follow services in the Morgan City Cemetery.
Memories of Joseph will forever remain in the hearts of his wife Laurie M. Hunter of Lafayette, La.; three sons, Melvin Hunter and Donald Hunter both of Baldwin, La., Christopher Duplessis of Lafayette, La.; six daughters, Mrs. Allen (Toni) Davis of Houston, TX, Mrs. Clifford (Sherrise) Collins of Baldwin, La., Frankie Harris of Patterson, La., Sabrina Duplessis and Danielle Duplessis both of Lafayette, La. and Millie Hunter of Baldwin, La.; two brothers, Grant Wesley and his wife Justine of Patterson, La. and Melvin Lee Hunter of Lafayette, La.; seven sisters, Doris Wiggins of Belle Rose, La., Mrs. Arthur (Margaret) Dugar, Mrs. Raymond (Wanda) Jackson all of Houston, TX; Mrs. Clifton (Stella) Lewis Verdunville, La., Linda Dearing and Mary Helen Hunter and Mrs. James (Frankie Mae) Broussard all of Lafayette, La.; thirty-one grandchildren; three god-children, and a host great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, maternal and paternal grandparents, five brothers, and two sisters.
