Joseph Sidney Gash, 89, of Morgan City, died Sunday, Jan. 12, 2025.
Visitation will be Monday from 10 a.m. until services at 11 a.m. at Mt. Era Baptist Church in Morgan City. Burial will follow in Morgan City Cemetery.
He is survived by two sons, James Gash Sr. and Charles Gash, both of Morgan City; two brothers, Herman Gash of El Paso, Texas and Robert Narcisse of Morgan City; two sisters, Sybil Charles of Morgan City and Mary Stuberfield of Beaumont, Texas; 11 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, three daughters, two sons, six siblings and four grandchildren.
Jones Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
