JOSELYN MARY LANDRY HEBERT ESTEP
January 28, 1936 - March 2, 2017
Funeral services for Joselyn Mary Landry Hebert Estep were held Monday, March 6, 2017, at 12:30 p.m. at Ibert’s Mortuary in Franklin. Following the service she was laid to rest in the Franklin Cemetery. Rev. Joel Fletcher officiated the services. Serving as pallbearers were Jason Giroir, Rocky Giroir, Jay Broussard, Joel Fletcher, Steven Tabb, and Joey Landry.
Relatives and friends were invited to join the family for the visitation at Ibert’s Mortuary on Monday from 10 a.m. until time of service, with the rosary being prayed at 10:30 a.m.
Joselyn was a native and lifelong resident of Franklin. She worked for the St. Mary Parish School Board for 28 years as a cafeteria technician at Crowell Elementary School and then Franklin Senior High School. Jo, as she was affectionately called, loved cooking for family and friends as well, but her true passion was her family, whom she deeply loved, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jo passed away at the age of 81 on Thursday, March 2, 2017, at her home. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her two children, Elizabeth “Liz” Hebert and David Paul Hebert and his wife Sally; six grandchildren, Jason Giroir, Rocky Giroir and his wife Rachel, Michelle Damron, Lacey Tabb and her husband Steven, Ashley Fletcher and her husband Joel, and Bethany Hebert; 14 great grandchildren, Zane, Gabriel, Rocky Jr., Rhea, Dylan, Cooper, Jayden, Braylon, Katelyn, Cierra, Carson, Joel Jr., Ashlyn, and Allie; three siblings, Marlene Rineholt, A. J. Landry, and Cynthia Duvall; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Elred “Bozo” Hebert Jr.; her second husband, Lowell “Cowboy” Estep; her parents, Joseph and Mable Pontiff Landry; two sisters, Beatrice “Bee” Bodin and Marguerite “Margie” Landry; and two sons-in-law, Ernest “Rocky” Giroir and Stanley R. Damron.
