JOAN CRAPPELL OLIVIER
November 30, 1944-August 10, 2017
Joan Crappell Olivier, 72, a resident of Bayou Vista, passed away Thursday, Aug. 10, 2017, at home surrounded by her loving family.
Joan was born Nov. 30, 1944, in St. Paul, Minnesota, the daughter of Wilton Crappell and Virginia Furchner.
Joan loved her family and was always there for them any time they needed her. She was always a crafty person and loved to do craft projects as well as sewing. In her free time she always loved to go shopping and enjoyed baking.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by three sons, Eroy Acosta and companion Tysie, Troy Aucoin and wife June, and Scott Vaughn and wife Julie; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one sister, Virginia Hufstetler and husband James with whom Joan had been living for the last four years.
Joan was preceded in death by her parents, Wilton and Virginia Furchner Crappell; two daughters, Vickie Toups and Lisa Folse; one nephew, Wilton Crappell Jr.; former husband, Eddie Oliver; and former companion, Donald LeBlanc.
The family would like to thank Dr. Francis Metz III and Notre Dame Hospice for the loving care that they gave to Ms. Joan.
Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 11, 2107, at Twin City Funeral Home with a visitation being held from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m.
