Jerry Joseph Theriot

Jerry Joseph Theriot, age 85, a resident of Morgan City, was called home to meet the Lord on Tuesday, March 27, 2018, surrounded by his loving family.
Jerry was a Radio Intercept Operator and obtained the rank of Staff Sergeant while in the United States Air Force. For 33 years, he worked as a supervisor for Union Oil of California. Jerry loved the outdoors — farming, hunting, fishing; above all, he loved the Lord and his family.
Jerry will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mary Lou Bollotte Theriot, and his five children: Dena Thibodaux and husband, Chris; Trina Percle and husband, Bobby; Troy Theriot and wife, Elizabeth; Neal Theriot Sr. and wife, Sherri; and Marisa Nardoni and husband, Cory. He is survived by 13 grandchildren: Jeremy Dykes; Taryn Dykes and companion, Gerald Wiese; Seth Percle and wife, Kristi; Ryan Percle and wife, Kristin; Emily Norton and husband, Keith; Katherine Theriot, Kristina Theriot, Katelyn Theriot, David Hayes, Neal Michael Theriot Jr., Makayla Theriot, Bailey Nardoni and Kelsey Nardoni. He leaves behind 10 great-grandchildren: Rylee Lodrigue, Kylee Dykes, Paityn Dykes, Jett Lodrigue, Trent Percle, Savannah Percle, Hank Percle, Ellie Percle, Trace Norton and Ethan Hayes. He is also survived by five siblings: Lola Freeman and husband, Howard; Elsie Aucoin and husband, Emile (E.J.); Melvin Theriot and wife, Alice; Francis Listi and husband, Gerald; and Deborah LeBlanc.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Ivy and Edna Theriot; one brother, Therroll Theriot; and one sister, Sherry Boudreaux.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 2, 2018, at Holy Cross Catholic Church beginning at 9 a.m., followed by a mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in the Morgan City Cemetery with military honors conducted by the East St. Mary Parish Veterans Squad. Pallbearers will be Troy Theriot, Neal Theriot Sr., Neal Michael Theriot Jr., Cory Nardoni, Bobby Percle, Jeremy Dykes, and Chris Thibodaux.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Hargrave Funeral Home of Morgan City.
