JEANETTE TRAHAN BREAUX

Jeanette Trahan Breaux, age 90, of the Kiln, passed away on December 17, 2018, surrounded by family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis J. Breaux, III; her parents, Euzebe Trahan and Alice Borel Trahan; a son, Patrick Breaux; her brothers, P.J. Trahan and Ira Trahan; son-in-law, Bubby Hoda; and a grandson, Brian Hoda.
Survivors include her children, Louis (Veronica) Breaux, IV; Christine (Bert) Courrege, Charlene Breaux; Norman Breaux, Jack (Tiffany) Breaux, Marlene Hoda, and Bryan (Regina) Breaux; a sister, Beulah Martin; 18 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Mrs. Breaux was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and was a member at St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic Church in White Cypress. She was an active Girl Scout Leader, was active in the PTA and CYO at Annunciation Catholic School, and enjoyed doing things for people in the community. She preferred to stay in the background – she was never one for recognition.
The family would like to thank Canon Hospice, her caregivers, Marian Paige and Christine Verdin, and her granddaughters, and great-granddaughters that helped care for Mrs. Breaux.
Visitation will be on Saturday, December 22, 2018, from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. at St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic Church, 27074 St. Matthew Church Rd., White Cypress. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 pm in the church. Entombment will be in St. Matthew Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to St. Matthew Catholic Church.
