James Pollard Sr.

James Pollard Sr., 77, a native and resident of Patterson, died Wednesday, July 22, 2020, at Ochsner St. Mary in Morgan City.
Public viewing will be Saturday, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Jones Funeral Home in Morgan City. Face masks and social distancing required. Private services (invited guests only) will be at 1 p.m. and is available for viewing on the funeral home’s Facebook page. Burial will follow in New Salem Cemetery in Patterson.
He is survived by four sons, James Pollard Jr., Darryl Harrison and Dowayne Charlote, all of Patterson, and Kirk Pollard of Franklin; five daughters, Amanda Williams, Katina Jenkins, Pamela Grant, Mare Monica Pollard and Sarah Charlote, all of Patterson; one sister, Lucille Whiley of Alameda, California; 43 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his wife, two sons, one daughter, his parents and siblings.
