JAMES MAXIE DALTON

September 30, 1945 — April 7, 2021
James Maxie Dalton, 75, a resident of Morgan City, passed away on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Franklin Healthcare Center.
James was born on September 30, 1945 in Morgan City, the son of John Keane Dalton and Beatrice Justilian Dalton.
James was very devout in his Catholic faith and he was truly a blessing for everyone he came into contact with. James was truly a blessing to Yvonne’s family, being the constant father and grandfather figure for her children and grandchildren. Never having any children or grandchildren of his own, James loved and accepted them as his own.
He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his companion and best friend of 25 years, Yvonne Zweigle of Morgan City and her daughter, DeAnna Dupree and her husband Greg and their five children of Patterson; Dennis Zweigle and Darrel Zweigle and their families, one brother, John “Joey” Dalton and wife Pat; a cousin whom was more like a brother, Charles Dalton of Morgan City; his best friend, Don “Snap” Adams of Morgan City; the Cron Family; very good friends, Paul and Donna Rae Connor of Morgan City, great friends who were a Blessing for Jim, Carol and Charlotte Duplantis and their daughter Mary Clare & siblings who will fondly remember his friendship with their family
James was preceded in death by his parents, John and Beatrice Justilian Dalton leaving a Legacy as devout Catholics which James proudly followed his parents’ example.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Henry Sebastian celebrating Mass.
