IVAS JOAN SMITH

Ivas Joan Smith, 89, a native of Three Rivers, Texas and resident of Morgan City, La., born November 28, 1931 and passed away on Monday, May 17, 2021.
A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Samart Funeral Home, West Park from 2:00 p.m. till 4:00 p.m.
She is survived by her sons, Mark (Carol) Smith and Tim (Danette) Smith; daughters, Debbie Smith, Becky (Rickie) Oliver and Terri (Jim) Flowers; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother; two brothers-in-law; one sister; and four sisters-in-law.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Harry Smith; parents, Rance and Amanda Freeman; one brother; and five sisters.
Our mother’s life work was her husband and children. She raised five children with love and kindness.
