HOWARD J. DOIRON

February 26, 1925 – March 7, 2017
Funeral services for Howard J. Doiron will be held Friday, March 10, 2017, at St. Jules Catholic Church during a 2p.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Following the Mass he will be laid to rest in St. Jules Church Cemetery. Father Peter Emusa will be the Celebrant for the Mass and conduct the services.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Ibert’s Mortuary from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Friday, with the Holy Rosary being prayed at 11:30 p.m.
Howard was born at South Bend Plantation in Bayou Sale, the sixth of seven children born to the late Adrien Doiron and the late Florence Vicknair Doiron. He was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corp, having served during World War II in the European Theater and was a member of the VFW and American Legion. Howard worked for Texaco which he retired from after 35 years of dedicated service. He passed away at the age of 92 on Tuesday, March 7, 2017, at the Franklin Health Care Center. He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Sally D. Hebert and her husband Roy of Centerville; his son, Richard Doiron and his wife Cheryl of Franklin; five grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; one great grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Selma “Sally” Snellgrove Doiron; three brothers, Cornelius “C.J.” Doiron, Clarence Doiron, and Adrien Doiron Jr.; and three sisters, Doris May, Dorothy Adams, and Iris LaJaunie.
