HERBERT “TOKEY” RILEY SR.

Herbert “Tokey” Riley Sr., 83, a resident of Morgan City, La., passed away on Monday, February 17, 2020 at Ochsner St. Mary Hospital at 9:05 p.m.
Visitation will be observed on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at the Mt. Era Baptist Church 406 Lawrence Street Morgan City, La. from 9 a.m. until funeral services at 11 a.m. with Reverend Norman A. Stovall, Officiating. Burial will follow funeral services in the Morgan City Cemetery.
Memories of Herbert Sr., or Tokey as he was known to many, will forever remain in the hearts of his: four sons, Herbert “Popsie” Riley, Jr. and Edward “Ed” Jones both of Morgan City, La., Brian Keith Riley of Chattanooga, TN., August Jones and Eldwood Jones both of Lake Charles, La.; seven daughters, Debra Karr Riley of Lafayette, La., Clara Mae Riley, Sheryl Yvette Riley, Mrs. Danny (Hazel Marie Riley) Williams, Patricia A. Jones and Victoria Johnson all of Morgan City, La., and Mrs. Delicia J.(Shellton) Jackson of Broomfield, CO: three brothers, Russell (Doris) Gills and Brian Riley both of Houston, TX; and Alvin Riley of New Orleans, La.; two sisters, Mrs. Erskin (Dolores) Taylor of New Orleans, La. and Stephanie Riley of Houston, TX; thirty-nine grandchildren, forty-eight great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and a host nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
