Glenn Thomas Campos (1945-2026)
Glenn Thomas Campos, born February 1, 1945, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Martel Campos and Marie Lauve Campos, passed away on October 5, 2026, at his home in Spring, Texas.
Glenn graduated from Morgan City High School in 1963 and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Louisiana State University in 1967. Later that year, he married Dorothy Parrino, and together they had one son, Glenn Thomas Campos Rumfellow.
In 1969, Glenn worked for Boeing in New Orleans on the Saturn V rocket program, contributing to the historic Apollo 11 mission that carried the first astronauts to the moon.
In 1977, Glenn married Karla Pennington, and together they had four children: Jeremy, Joshua, Jonathan, and Jamie.
In 2002, Glenn married Jana Alessandra, with whom he shared nearly 24 years of marriage. He was also stepfather to her two daughters, Alessandra and Erica.
Glenn was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Campos Landry. He is also survived by his siblings, Cheryl Campos and Gary Campos, their families, and his many grandchildren.
Glenn’s life was marked by devotion to family, professional achievement, and a connection to one of the most significant accomplishments in American history. He will be remembered with love and affection by all who knew him.
