George W. Griffin Jr.

George W. Griffin Jr., 65, a resident of Morgan City, passed away Thursday, June 28, 2018, at his home.
George was born on August 26, 1952, in Winnfield, Louisiana, the son of G.W. Griffin Sr. and Pauline Griffin.
George loved being in the outdoors spending his time hunting and fishing. His love of the outdoors lead him to his long career as a boat captain. He loved his family and loved each minute that he got to spend with them.
He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by three sisters, Bobbie Sue Smith of Houma, Susan Nelson and husband Mike of Morgan City, and Paula Kyle and husband Larry of Morgan City; and numerous nieces and nephews.
George was preceded in death by his parents, G.W. Griffin Sr. and Pauline Griffin; his wife, Mary Griffin; one sister, Cynthia Griffin Davis; and one nephew, James David Nelson.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 5, 2018, at Twin City Funeral Home with a memorial visitation being held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the services. Following the services, an inurnment will take place in the Berwick Cemetery Mausoleum.
